Ciaspole - Sentiero delle Cappellette
Situated at the heart of the national park Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, Valfurva offers a great variety of itineraries for those who enjoy walking onsnow-rackets: from flat walks to uphill paths, there is something for everyone and the effort will be rewarded with panoramic views and magical scenery.
For the second leg, we have chosen Sentiero delle Cappellette, which is of a mid-level difficulty level and a length of 3.5 kilometres, a difference in height of 440 metres and takes approx. one hour and thirty minutes to complete. The journey starts from the little square in Santa Caterina in direction Bormio, from where the path continues pleasantly until you see a small votive chapel by a bend. From there, you will continue towards the lodges in Sell and the lodges in Tov (1876 metres above sea level), from where you can admire Pizzo Tresero and the mountainside opposite. After a flat stretch, the route goes down again towards the town venturing into the forest and taking us back to the point of departure, all feeling relaxed.
